Helga Holga…
My first lomo camera was a holga. I loved it and hated it at the same time. I love that it took good pictures. I hated that I don’t know how to focus resulting to numerous rolls of wasted films. I love bulb mode. I hate accidentally setting it on bulb mode during normal days. I love the stares I get from people when i use it. I hated hearing them say, upon knowing that it is a camera, “who uses films nowadays? such losers”. Well I do, and a lot of other people as well… And we are not losers, you ignorant fool!
Helga, my holga, started my love for lomography. It accompanied me to several of my travels within Philippines and abroad. It made me meet friends who loved the same hobby as i did. I love explaining them to curious people. I could go on and on but the bottom line is, i miss my helga. I sold it to my sisters friend. I haven’t seen the pictures she took. I don’t even know if she developed her films already. I just hope she loves it the same way that i did…
